Bathrobe and Towels

I’m told the towel-like material is called terry, so a terry one. I don’t really have any specifics, but preferably below the knees, and XL, or maybe XXL if they have it because you can never have too much towel, lol. And I’m all for the pretty, but not grandma-like. And towels to go with it.

Slippers [Updated]
I’m size 10, btw.

Normal ones, pretty much any color but purple (have ‘em). These are at Walmart [here's an actual picture this time]:

Or boot slippers. The top ones are my favorite, and they’re from old navy, but I like the other styles too:

XM Radio Subscribtion

Site is here: link. I’d just want an online subscription.

Hats and Scarves

I like the knit stuff, and thin cotton stuff, like this [same for the scarves]:

Hard Wallet

You can pretty much get what it looks like from the picture. It’s got a hard cover and it cilps shut. Of course, I’d prefer one that’s much less ugly than the picture (that’s just one of the best pictures of it I could find).

Hard Shell Makeup Case

Nothing too big. About the size of the pictures. And simple.

Teeth Whitening Kit

I’m pretty impatient and don’t like sticking things in my mouth more than I absolutely have to, so I’d probably be best with the Rembrandt 2-hour, or Aquafresh trays, or another “tray” thing instead of the strips.

Hoodies [updated]

I have another picture, and I’ve been told I need to be more specific. I’ve realized I like guys hoodies instead of girls for the most part because they’re more comfortable, so basically go for guys, maybe girls, XL, zip-up, with a hood, like this one I have [that I got from TJ Maxx], and a cool design on it:

And there’s this one I saw in Walmart that I really liked and want, and I guess it also gives you an idea of what I like.

And here’s a link to a big collage of different ones I like if you still need a better idea: link.

Sheet Set

Just the two sheets for a bed. Twin size. Brown, off-white, pink… those are the main colors of my comforter.

Makeup Mirror

One on a stand, lighted would be cool, nothing too fancy.

Clothes Hangers

Plastic, with the little accessory hook things.

Toiletry Bag

The one in the picture is from LL Bean.

Desk Pad Calendar

Not too big, or it’ll be buried under all the stuff on my desk.

Notebook Stand

I saw this one at Walmart, and Staples too. I think it’s pretty common.

Big Stuff
For mom, or if anyone else actually wants to try and ship them, or just a reminder to myself to buy after Christmas, lol.

-Computer chair
-Rug
-Ottoman – OOOOO! Mommy! It’s the awesome one I saw at Kmart that one time and, atm, it’s only $28. =o – link

Christmas List – now with obnoxiously large text November 11, 2008

Posters

These probably aren’t the most practical thing for someone to get someone else, but I really need to decorate my empty dorm room wall, so I thought I’d try. I’ve listed some links to posters on ebay that I really like. Most are from the same store, so you’d get a deal on shipping, I’m sure, if you wanted to get them. Or they can just show you what I like.

Oh, but I really really really really really want this one: link. Like, a lot.

Here are the others, beginning with the ones I like best [link will open in a new window]:

link
Anything vegetarian/animal if you can find it (I can’t).

Hoodies – XL
Again, maybe not practical, but I’ll throw it out there.

I really really really really want this one: link.

Slippers
Normal ones, pretty much any color but purple (have ‘em). These are at Walmart:

Ballet ones, sans poof on the front (if you see any like that). These are from Walmart and Old Navy:

Easy Mac

‘Cause I’m a college student?

Wall Calendar

Anything, I’m not picky.

Paper and ink cartridges for a Kodak EasyShare photo printer 500

You can find them easily at Walmart.

Barack Obama stuff

I really want a shirt[xl], but posters, stickers, buttons – you name it!

Squishable

A stuffed animal from here. I like the snail and hedgehog.

Subway Gift Card

Veggie Delite = amazing! [And dining hall food is, uh, not amazing.]

Refrigerator Magnets and Clips

For my metal closet. Nothing fancy.

Make-your-own Sticker and Magnet Sheets

Again, for my metal closet, and dorm room in general.

Printer and Printer Paper

And ink, I suppose. Because I hate paying 10 cents for every paper I print in the computer lab – $1 if it’s in color. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just something that prints.

Notebooks and Folders

Five Star college-ruled and Five Star

Ringed Sketchbook

Drawing Pencils

Just any variety, doesn’t matter what kind.

Small aquarium
Just a little thing. Not for fishes, just for these guys:

Giant Coffee Mug Plant Holder

See picture. I’ve seen them around, the pic is from Walmart, and I just love them. You’re supposed to put plants in them.

Coffee Starter Kit

Small coffee maker, filters(?), coffee (I don’t have any particular flavors.. So regular, I guess, or if you want to get fancy and get like, cappacino-ish stuff (can you make that in a coffee maker?), I like chocolate, mocha, caramel, cinnamen, vanilla, stuff like that.), a coffee mug, vanilla creamer, sugar, and anything else I’m forgetting..

Hair Straightener

As long as it’s decent and small [width], it’ll work.

Heating Pad

I could use and electric and microwavable one.

Dog Bed

Like those cute ones that look like they could just be giant pillows? I’d literally just curl up in one on the floor.

Dust Buster/Sweeper

Whichever one is cheaper and quieter, because my neighbors don’t appreciate the loudness of my mini vac.

Blankets

Anything really soft and that doesn’t come from animals. I’m a fan of microfiber, I guess it’s called. Cheap and soft. [Any size]

Hair Stuff

Hair elastics [no metal], black hair snap clips, black bobby pins, black and assorted wide and thin plastic headbands – see pics in respective order.

Fake Mini Tree and Mini Ornaments

Do they make them like.. six inches tall? If not, the smallest they make, and some adorable mini figure ornaments for it.

Money

If all else fails, ’cause I am a poor college student.

Stocking Stuffers
Curel lotion
0.7 or 0.9mm mechanical pencils
gum
tissues
shampoo and conditioner
daily multivitamins (general, woman’s, vegetarian [if you can find them], whatever)
chapstick

Isn’t it pretty?

The first single bed is my roommate Alyssa’s, the big black thing(s) are basically movable closets, then the bunk of our other two roommates’ (Kaite and Emily), which we tried to take apart, but couldn’t, then more closets, then my bed, then Alyssa.

For a college dorm in a small town like this that builds things purely on donated money (or so I’ve been told), it’s a really nice place. Luckily I got a room in the nicest dorm on campus, recently renovated and each room has it’s own thermostat. It was almost nicer than my room at home (save for the three extra people in it), with actual air conditioning instead of a fan just sucking in cool air and dog hair.

I put that video on my Facebook to show my roommates who weren’t able to see it and I got a comment from another kid going to the same college, asking what dorm I was in because his room was small and hot and smelled really really bad.

So yay for my room. I move on the 22nd.

Taco Bell run gone bad June 21, 2008

A friend and I decided to go to Taco Bell the other day. She didn’t want to drive her nice car, so we drove my crappy van. Going up the hill on 40, after the PLCC, the car just shuts off, so after I freak out, and with the help of some nice people (who actually stopped to help us – unlike the 20 dbs before that drove around us), we pushed it off to the side of the road…

Then called mom to come get us, and just chilled…

Good thing we didn’t need anymore help, though…

After two out of about 20 cars that saw us helped push us off to the side of the road, nobody cared…

I should have taken pics of the dbs that just drove around us, but I was too busy freaking out…

Then I just got really sad…

Megan was unaffected, since she didn’t know anything was wrong until we were stopped sideways in the middle of the road…

But I was still sad. Myspace pic sad. ]=

I was still still sad, and Megan was getting bored…

Very bored.

Mommy to the rescue!!

Can’t tell, but she was laughing at first…

“No, we’re not just leaving the car here, Cassie. Yes, I know it’s a piece of crap, but you can’t just leave it…”

“Lemme see what it does.”

(Apparently I can’t elaborate well after being tramuatized. “What happened, Cassie?” “It just STOPPED!!”)

Yeah, ’cause we can fix it…

The smoking, sputtering, clunking, chugging and all-around things a car should never do informed us otherwise..

So we towed it…

Just down the street, it cost waaay too much…

Stupid van…

I say tow it off a cliff, mom says people usually just buy cars in one piece that runs. To the repair shop.

Totally talked mom into getting us Taco Bell. (“That’s ALL we wanted!!”) Completely confused the guy taking our order, ’cause it’s not a trip to Taco Bell if we don’t.

Megan.. unamused by the shenanigans and the fact that the guy taking our order was unaware that spicy chicken is a meat.

So, $66, one mini-heart attack, one headache, four people worrying about a curfew, one dead car, one irritated mom, two hungry kids, and a brand new story to tell later… we finally got the Taco Bell.

…And they screwed up our order. Overall, awesome day.

So now, I’m totally without a car, which isn’t cool, ’cause I was just starting to get around to getting a job. I sent in an application for Wal-mart and everything. Oh well, looks like, unless I get a night job – I’m thinking a pro ;D, I’m home-bound for the rest of the summer.

My mom’s moral of the story: “I told you Taco Bell’s bad for you!”

My moral of the story: “I told you that van sucked!”

Uh, basically.. I’m bored. And I wanted to do something to keep in touch with people, or at least let them know what’s going on with stuffs.

I’ve been obsessed with YouTube lately, so I was like, vlogging! …no. I couldn’t be more awkward on webcam if I tried. (It’s bad.)

Oh, and my aunt (shout out CC!) told me I should blog anyway. So.. whoot! blog!

Exciting stuff. Oh yeah. Stay posted. [=
